Registration
- MARSS is a non-profit conference run by a small team of your peers for the benefit of our research community. Every cent of the registration fees goes into providing best possible working conditions for the conference participants. According to MARSS policy, everybody has to contribute, and all participants are treated in the same way: The registration fee cannot be waived or discounted for anybody, including all Chairs, Plenary speakers, Special session organizers, and invited speakers in Special sessions. This policy helps to keep the registration fee for everybody as low as possible.
- MARSS does not provide any travel grants, free accommodation, or other financial support. Please refrain from sending requests of this kind to MARSS2026 secretariat.
- Before July 27, 2026, registration and payment are made through an online registration system. Starting from July 27, 2026, registration and payment can only be made at the conference venue.
- The conference adopts a “no reimbursement” cancellation policy, except for unforeseeable force majeure events and if approved by MARSS2026 General Chairs.
- Student registration must be accompanied with a confirmation of valid matriculation.
- Accommodation, travel costs and insurances are not included in the fees.
- The payment can be made in RMB or in USD, whatever is more convenient.
Please be aware that only ONE presentation at the conference is covered by the basic registration fee. Maximum ONE additional presentation by the same speaker is allowed at an extra fee of 1,400 RMB (200 USD), see below. This also applies to the Plenary presentations.

- The registration fee covers the following:
- one presentation at the conference
- admittance to all conference sessions
- welcome reception (Monday)
- lunch (Tuesday – Thursday)
- coffee breaks (Tuesday – Thursday)
- banquet (Thursday)
- proceedings (USB drive)
One-day registration (July 28, July 29, or July 30): 1,800 RMB (255 USD)
- The one-day registration covers the following on the selected day:
- one presentation at the conference
- admittance to all conference sessions
- lunch
- coffee breaks
- proceedings (USB drive)
- banquet is NOT included
Recorded Talk registration: 1,400 RMB (200 USD)
If you are not able to attend in-person due to a force majeure event, MARSS2026 will play a recorded video of your talk at your assigned talk time. Videos will not be made available to attendees after the presentation. As MARSS is not a hybrid conference, there will not be an opportunity to interact with attendees as part of your talk. Please upload your recorded video (17-18min) by July 20, 2026, at the latest, along with the payment of a discounted registration fee of 1,400 RMB (200 USD) (uniform fee for regular participants and students). A refund of the difference to the already paid fee (if any) will be issued, minus a handling fee of 2% of the refund amount. Please inform the Organization Committee info(at)marss-conference.org on your earliest convenience if you do not see any possibility to attend the conference in-person.
