Information regarding potential travel restrictions due to the pandemic

All MARSS2022 speakers in technical sessions (accepted paper (full or short), or speakers without paper submission invited to a Special session) from outside Canada, who won´t be able to attend the conference due to pandemic-related international travel restrictions, can upload a recorded talk (18min) by June 30, 2022 and will have to pay a reduced registration fee of 300 CAD (uniform fee for regular participants and students). All the recorded talks will be presented during the conference in the time and in the room specified in the Technical Program. In this way, all technical sessions at the conference won’t suffer from no-shows (and from the uncertainties of real-time presenting through the Internet) and will be held strictly according to MARSS2022 Technical Program. Full papers will be regarded as being formally presented at the conference and included into the IEEE Xplore® digital library. Additionally, such full papers may be recommended for publication in Journal of Micro-Bio Robotics (Springer-Nature), if selected by MARSS2022 Publication Chairs. However, such full papers cannot participate in the competition for MARSS2022 Best Paper Awards. The conference will also provide a download option for MARSS2022 Proceedings to this category of speakers. The option will be valid during one month after the conference.

Additionally, MARSS2022 will make the following offer to all registered participants: All Plenary talks at MARSS2022 (up to 12-14 talks expected, 40min each) will be recorded and uploaded. The recorded Plenary talks will be accessible during one month after the conference.

Invited Plenary speakers from outside Canada, who won´t be able to attend the conference due to pandemic-related international travel restrictions (the only acceptable reason), will be asked to upload a recorded presentation and receive 100% reimbursement of the registration fee. The recorded Plenary talks will be accessible for the registered conference participants during one month after the conference.
