How we put cells to work in microrobotics

Cell-based microrobots have recently found huge attraction in the community of microrobotics thanks to their unique features such as on-board power source, physiological adaptability, stimuli-response and biocompatibility. This talk will elucidate the bioinspired development of novel microrobots. Cells are integrated into microrobots as propulsion source, structural templates or loading units. This plenary talk will point out approaches to specific applications of biohybrid microrobots and currently encountered challenges, which we can address in the global, multidisciplinary MARSS community.
