Commercialization of Medical Microrobotics

Based on R&D on various specific medical microrobotics, possibly generalized concept of medical microrobotics has been induced. To summarize, medical microrobot with the meaning of practical medical device is composed of 4 different common base modules, That is, actuation module, carrier module, theragnostic device module and visualization module. Each common base module can be realized using available various technological solution. From such concept, in total 20 different common base modules have been derived with the criteria of current technological availability.

In this research over 20 research institutions are involved. Here each common base modules and several combination of modules as the practical medical devices are introduced.
